Since I’ve started this journal, I feel as if I’m closer to God and I know how he sees me. It’s reassuring to know that when I’m having a bad day or when I’m down about myself, I can open up my journal to lift me up. It’s like I’m speaking straight to God. I can’t wait until my journal is filled up with some many things and I’m so happy you are on this journey with me. Let’s get started on todays journaling.
I decided to do three entries in my journal. I don’t know why, but in the end, they seemed to all fit together. The first one I did was Psalm 34:4 with ‘I am delivered’. The thought that we can go to God with anything so he can help us is such a blessing.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
For this one, I did do two questions.
1. In what way has God delivered you from your fears?
2. In what way can give your fears to God?
The next one is from Ephesians 1:13-14 with ‘I am sealed with the Hold Spirit. Once we believed in Jesus, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit just as God has promised.
When you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation and believed in him, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
For this one, I did one question and wrote out the verse Ephesians 1:6.
- What does it mean to be sealed with the promised Holy Spirit?
Praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the beloved.
For my last entry I did Ephesians 2:10 with ‘I am God’s masterpiece’. We are of God’s creation and created to do good works within Christ. I did the same as above with one questions and I wrote our the verse Ephesians 2:8.
For we are his masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which we should walk in them.
- What does it mean to you to be God’s masterpiece?
By grace you have been saved through faith.
I plan to continue writing in my Identity in Christ journal until it’s full. This is something that I know I will cherish and pass on to my children once I’m gone. My hope is that it will bring them comfort just as it’s bring me today.
