I know it’s been awhile since I posted. Things have gotten real busy on my end with the last month of school for my oldest and getting ready for our trip in June. I’ve also been working on new products for my shop and making content for social media and my blog. I didn’t forget to do my journaling for My Identity in Christ Journal and I needed to make it happen. With becoming so busy, I’ve became overwhelmed as well. When that does happen, I start to get down and have doubt about things. So it was very important for me to make time to journal and these two verses are what I needed when I didn’t even know I needed them. That’s how God works in our lives once we make the time to put Him first. It’s pretty amazing when you think about it.
For today’s verses, we will be journaling 1 John 1:9 and Romans 5:17. For 1 John 1:9, it talks about going to God and confessing your sins. Once we confess our sins to Him, God is very faithful and forgives us. He cleanse us all from unrighteousness.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse is from all unrighteousness.
For this journal page, I asked these two questions
1. How must I confess my sins?
2. Why should I confess my sins?
Then below my questions and answers, I wrote out 1 John 1:7.
If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all sin.
For Romans 5:17, it talks about hoe Jesus died to give us the two most important gifts that God wanted to give is. That it is through Jesus’ sacrifice that gives us God’s abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.
For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
For this journal page, I asked one questions a wrote out a prayer thanking God for those gifts he has given to us through Christ.
1. What are we given through Jesus Christ?
2. Prayer
Dear God. Thank you for giving us your only son to take away our sins. Through Jesus Christ, we are given the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness. Amen.
